Take His Hand
A Poem by John D. High
Some men want’a die
They want’a go to the grave
It ain’t no lie
Exposure to the truth is their biggest fear
But it’s the only thing that’s
Gonna set them free.
Nowhere to run to
Nowhere to hide
Have to face those giants
That live inside.
Exposure to light
Is the way out of the dark
Freedom waits on the other side
Reach out and take his hand
He’ll pull you out of
The mess you’re in.
Don’t wait for everything to be perfect
That day may never come
He wants you now
All your brokenness is nothing he can’t heal
Give your life to Christ
And watch your new life begin.
